Drone Operations for Inspectors is organized into 9 clear, easy-to-master lessons that build your skills step-by-step. Whether you are operating under FAA Part 107 in the United States or Transport Canada s CAR Part IX, this course delivers the field-ready training you need to enhance safety, improve coverage, and modernize your inspection workflow.

Drones have become a practical necessity for the modern inspector, offering a safer way to document steep, high, or fragile roofs that ladders simply cannot reach. This specialized program gives you the dual-country knowledge and hands-on technical skills to integrate drones into your business while staying fully compliant with North American regulations and industry best practices.

What You Will Master:

• Comprehensive Certification: Navigate the specific paths for FAA Remote Pilot and Transport Canada Basic/Advanced certification, including registration and Remote ID requirements.
• Field-Ready Flight Skills: Build foundational maneuvers and learn to manage real-world North American challenges, from high-wind stability to cold-weather battery safety.
• Professional Inspection Kits: Compare major drone models, evaluate compliance considerations, and assemble a kit ready for the job site.
• Advanced Roof Techniques: Practice planning structured flight paths, managing sun glare, and navigating safely around chimneys and overhead utility lines.
• Thermal & AI Integration: Explore high-demand capabilities like Thermal (Infrared) moisture detection, AI-assisted defect recognition, and automated mapping workflows.

Stay ahead of evolving federal rulemaking and rising client expectations. You will transition from a traditional inspector to a high-tech professional, positioning yourself as a safety-focused leader in the industry. Expand your capabilities and build stronger client confidence one flight at a time.

As you move through the course, you ll work with interactive flash cards and quick practice quizzes that reinforce key concepts with instant feedback, helping you correct mistakes, refresh information, and build confidence as you go. Your progress is automatically saved, so you can stop anytime and pick up right where you left off even if you switch devices. After completing all lessons and passing the final exam, you ll have the knowledge and skills required to perform septic system inspections with confidence.

Drone Certification & Licensing:
To fly drones commercially, aviation authorities require pilots to hold specific certifications based on their country of operation. We now offer comprehensive preparation for both U.S. and Canadian licensure:

• United States (FAA Part 107): The FAA requires a Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate, earned by passing a 65-question in-person aeronautical knowledge test.
• Canada (Transport Canada): To fly in regulated airspace or for commercial purposes, Transport Canada requires a Pilot Certificate Small Remotely Piloted Aircraft (VLOS), available for both Basic and Advanced operations.

Our Prep Courses
We offer dedicated Drone License Prep Courses for both the FAA Part 107 and Transport Canada exams. These courses are designed to ensure you pass your respective exam on the first attempt. For the best value, both the prep courses and our hands-on Drone Operations course are available together as a cost-saving package.
